Maruti Suzuki to pump up exports

After facing an initial set back in the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) is banking on exports to improve its sales tally, reports Our Bureau in New Delhi. The company aims to export two lakh cars annually by 2010-11 on the back of its fifth international model, the A-Star hatchback, which will hit the market in October this year. MSI managing director Shinzo Nakanishi, releasing the company�s annual report, said: �We had exported about 53,000 cars in 2007-08, that was the highest ever so far.
