Maruti targets to sell 50,000 units of A-Star nationally

Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India Ltd said on Friday that it was targetting sale of about 50,000 units of its laterst model- A-star in the domestic market.

The car would be manufactured in Manesar production facility where the capacity has been upgraded to manufacture three lakh cars a year.

Kerala is a very important and unique market for Maruti and accounts for 10 per cent of its all India sales, C V Raman, Chief General Manager-Engineering told reporters after the launch of the new car in the Kerala market. Read more
