Honda to play safe with new City variant

In a bid to regain the top slot in the mid-size car segment, Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) will launch an all-new variant of its flagship model City with a host of safety features in the first half of September.

Honda City had lost the top position for the past two consecutive months. In June, it was toppled by Maruti Suzuki’s new entrant SX4 and in July, it was trumped by Mahindra and Mahindra’s (M&M) Logan. M&M sold 2,890 units of Logan while Maruti-Suzuki sold 2,840 units of SX4 in July. City came third with sales of 2,465 units. More
