Maruti Udyog Ltd sold 55,952 vehicles in the domestic market in May, up 10% from 50,904 vehicles sold in same month last year.
Total sales in May stood at 59,400 vehicles, including 3,448 units of exports, India’s leading car maker said.

The $1-billion Amtek Group’s flagship Amtek Auto is close to acquiring the foundry business of the UK-based auto component major JL French Castings. The deal is estimated between Rs 150 crore and Rs 160 crore and includes the company’s operations in Whitham in the UK.
