Drive Suzuki 2-wheeler beauties soon

Indian two-wheeler market is set to witness more competition with Japanese firm Suzuki planning to roll out a 125cc scooter by September, a 150cc motorcycle and its flagship pro bike Hayabusa by March next.

“We are aiming to plug the gap between 100cc and 150cc segment in scooters. By September, we plan to launch a 125cc variometric scooter,” Atul Gupta, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL),” said, Vice-President Sales and Marketing. More

Auto dealers see more moolah in space rentals

Diminishing margins due to the ongoing discount war among auto dealers is pushing many to exit the business. Many of them are finding it more profitable to lease out their commercial space to various players including ICICI Bank, Reliance Retail and Yes Bank.

Recently, Hero Honda dealer Prakash Autoriders leased out the space occupied by its showroom and workshop to Yes Bank. Kamal and Company, a Bajaj Auto dealer in Jaipur, vacated half of its showroom space for renting it out to ICICI Bank. More
