Yamaha launches new 106 cc bike

Santro launches new intiative to tap rural market

Hyundai Motor India has launched a new marketing initiative, titled ‘Ghar Ghar Ki Pehchaan’ for tapping rural market for its popular Santro car.

Claiming this as a first of its kind initiative, the company said it has rolled out special schemes for government employees in rural areas and members of gram panchayats on the purchase of Santro.

Maruti Suzuki to launch ‘world car’ from India by end-2008

Suzuki Motors’ next world car will come from its venture at Gurgaon, near Delhi, by the end of 2008, Shinzo Nakanishi, managing director of Maruti Suzuki India, has said.

“The new model will be launched by end-2008,” he said. “To begin with, we have plans to export 100,000 units of the new model annually to Europe and the rest of the world,” Nakanishi said in an interview. Read more

Piaggio launches two three-wheeler variants in Chandigarh

Three-wheeler maker Piaggio Vehicles on Wednesday announced the launch of two variants of three-wheeler, Ape.

The new vehicles launched here, namely Ape Xtra and Ape Xtra-LD, would carry a price tag of Rs 1,31,500 and Rs 1,35,500 per unit respectively.

Anticipating moderate growth of 10 per cent in total sales, the company has set a target to sell 1.65 lakh vehicles in 2008 compared to 1.55 lakh vehicles sold in 2007. Read more

Audi launches new showroom in Pune

German luxury car maker Audi today announced it has opened a 6,500 sq ft showroom in Pune, which will display the entire range of models.

“With Audi Pune, we inaugurate today the largest luxury car showroom in the town. We are opening this second dealership in Maharashtra for our customers to see and feel the exclusivity, sophistication and progressiveness,” Audi India Managing Director Benoit Tiers said in a statement.

Piaggio launches new three-wheeler variants in Kerala

Piaggio Vehicles on Friday launched its two new cargo segment three-wheelers “Ape Xtra LD” and “Ape Xtra”, priced at Rs 1.31 lakh and Rs 1.27 lakh respectively, in the Kerala market.
