MICO is now Bosch Ltd

Motor Industries Company Ltd (MICO) has been renamed Bosch Ltd. Mr V.K. Viswanathan, the Joint Managing Director, will take over as the new managing director of the company from February this year. Bosch plans to invest Rs 850 cr in India; to rename MICO

Sensing huge opportunities in the rapidly-growing Indian auto market, German major Bosch has decided to step up its investment in the country and expand its local development and manufacturing activities.

“The company, which will have invested over Rs 1,800 crore between 2005 and 2008, will now invest additional Rs 850 crore by 2010,” Bernd Bohr, member of the Bosch Board of Management and Chairman of the Automative Group, told a press conference here today. More

MICO gets key order for Rs 1 lakh car

Robert Bosch ups MICO India offer price by 15 pc

Germany’s Robert Bosch GmBH has raised its open offer price by 15 percent to buy an additional 20 percent in its India unit Motor Industries Co. Ltd. (MICO) , managers Citigroup said on Wednesday.

The offer, to buy 6.4 million shares, is now priced at Rs 4,600 ($112) per share, up from the Rs 4,000 announced earlier. More
