With the win in Hyderabad, MS Dhoni has become the most successful Indian captain in Tests. This was his 22nd win as captain in 45 Tests, going past Sourav Ganguly’s 21 in 49. Dhoni said the credit belonged to every one who has ever played a part during matches he has been captain.

“I have got a very good side,” Dhoni said after India went 2-0 up with an innings win over Australia. “I have always said that. Yes, we have gone through a period where we haven’t won many games, but at the end of the day it is the whole team that wins or loses.

“The credit goes to each and everyone along with the support staff. Gary [Kirsten] was brilliant [as coach], now Duncan [Fletcher] is there. I think it’s a collective effort and credit goes to each and every individual who has been part of the side.” Read more
