Laura Marsh: England confident ahead of Super Sixes
The group stage of the Women’s World Cup is over and we are through to the Super Six stage. We bounced back well against India and the West Indies after a disappointing start with the defeat by Sri Lanka.
We can admit that we did not start the tournament as well as we wanted. There were errors in that game which let us down, but that is not to do a disservice to the Sri Lanka team, who have improved so much since the last time we played them.
I didn’t enjoy having to sit out and watch during the first game. It’s always better to be out on the pitch. In that sense, it was great to get back out there for the wins against India and West Indies. Read more
