Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was picked for the Test series against Australia on Sunday, says that he is ready to face the rigours of Test cricket and will do his best to prove his credentials in the longer version of the game.
“I’m prepared for the challenges. Having played the ODIs, I have an idea about what international cricket is like. Obviously, Test cricket won’t be like the ODIs, but I’m ready for the challenge, mentally and physically,” Kumar was quoted as by BangaloreMirror.
Kumar said although he was not sure about this Test selection, he was hoping for that to happen. “I don’t know if I was sure of my Test selection but I would be lying if I say I was not hoping for this,” he said. “Hope was there because I’m feeling confident of doing well. Having done well in the ODIs recently, I thought it would be the right time for me to have a go in the Tests as well.” Read more
