Gloucestershire v Hampshire: Klinger cannot prevent draw

Gloucestershire captain Michael Klinger helped his side achieve maximum batting points but could do nothing to prevent the draw against Hampshire.

Australian Klinger (163) built a 109-run partnership with Alex Gidman (69) before being caught behind on 337-3.

Klinger’s fine knock, which included 17 fours and two sixes, gave them a lead of 126 when they declared on 400-4.

Benny Howell took the early wickets of Jimmy Adams and Liam Dawson, but a draw was called on 120-4, six behind. Read more
