The BCCI is likely to shift Pakistan women’s World Cup matches out of Mumbai. According to CNN-IBN sources, Kolkata and Bangalore are being considered as alternative venues.
This is being mulled after protests against Pakistani players in Mumbai following the killing of two Indian soldiers at the Line of Control earlier this month. The Pakistani players featuring in the Hockey India League had to fly back on Wednesday due to the vehement protests from several political parties and their supporters in Mumbai. Read more
