England’s Ian Bell set to miss Pakistan Test series

England’s Ian Bell looks set to miss the Test series against Pakistan after fracturing a metatarsal in his foot.

Bell, 28, was injured during the second one-day match with Bangladesh while attempting a catch in the 10th over.

“I knew I’d done something serious,” said Bell, who left Bristol’s County Ground in an ambulance.

The England and Wales Cricket Board said Bell’s injury will be reviewed but he was “unlikely” to play in the four-Test series, which begins on 29 July. Read more
