Kanpur hospital mourns Woolmer
The death of Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer will be mourned by the cricketing fraternity, his fans, friends and family for sure. But also by the staff of a hospital in Kanpur.
It was at the McRoberts Hospital in Kanpur where Robert Andrew Woolmer was born on May 14, 1948. He got an opportunity to visit his birthplace when Pakistan were touring India in 2005, almost exactly 57 years to the day of his birth.
He also visited the hospital in 1996 when he came with the South African team in India.
