Di Venuto reaches 1,000 run mark

Durham’s Michael di Venuto passing 1,000 County Championship runs for the season was one of the highlights of a shortened second day at the Riverside.

The opener reached the mark as he made 44 not out in his side’s second innings 73-0, a lead of 122, before rain ended the day’s play at the lunch interval. Read more
