Sri Lanka to discuss new league with India

A top Sri Lankan cricket official will attend a meeting of the Indian Cricket Board next week to discuss a new league being floated to counter a controversial rebel series.

“We have been asked to come and I will represent Sri Lanka Cricket,” Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) President Jayantha Dharmadasa told AFP Saturday.

India’s cricket chiefs will meet in New Delhi on September 13 to discuss a glitzy Twenty20 series to compete with the unofficial Indian Cricket League (ICL) to size. Read more
