Surrey boosted their hopes of survival in the Championship and increased Warwickshire’s fears by thumping the Bears by nine wickets at Edgbaston.
Resuming on 2-0, chasing 177, Surrey had few problems once Scott Newman (87) put on 149 with Jon Batty (68 not out).
