Kenya to search for new coach to replace Harper

Kenya has begun searching for a new national cricket coach to replace Roger Harper who is stepping down at the end of September after one and half years.

The former West Indies spinner has made his intentions known that he wants to return home in the Caribbean to be close to his wife and two school-going teenage sons.

Cricket Kenya chairman Samir Inamdar said Harper, who took charge in January 2006, would not be renewing his contract having handed in a resignation letter on August 22 and will leave the team after the World Twenty-20 championships in South Africa. Read more
