PAK vs AUS: Ponting eager for players to keep focus

Australia skipper Ricky Ponting is concerned his players could lose their focus on the current Test series against India amid growing speculation the side’s upcoming tour to Pakistan will be

scrapped following Benazir Bhutto’s assassination.

Although Cricket Australia has repeatedly declared that no decision on the tour will be made until after a pre-tour inspection of the country in early February, news that elections in Pakistan could be delayed until late February, just two weeks before the tour’s scheduled start in March, have increased the likelihood it will be abandoned.
