Paul Collingwood has given England an injury scare with a week to go until the first Test at Hamilton after sustaining a grade one tear to his right hamstring. He did not take the field when play resumed after a rain delay on the second day at Dunedin, although an England spokesman said that the rest was only precautionary and that he would be available to bat. Collingwood first felt the injury during last week’s tied ODI match in Napier, although that didn’t prevent him from bowling five overs in the current match.
