New Zealand: Marshall making Test case

James Marshall on Tuesday made the first tentative steps in his bid to fill former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming’s shoes in the forthcoming npower Test series.

Marshall, twin brother of Gloucestershire’s Hamish Marshall, has been entrusted with the number three position vacated by the recently-retired Fleming.

He resumes the final day of the tour match with Kent at Canterbury on Wednesday unbeaten on 20 in a New Zealand total of 92 for one. Read more
