Would be brides turn to fashion designers

Gone are the days when a girl herself decided on what to wear on her marriage and honeymoon. Presently, the would be brides, aged between 20 to 30 years, are approaching fashion designers in the city for taking guidance regarding the outfit of their wedding day or for her romantic tour post marriage.

Keeping fashion trends in mind Anamika Singh, Coordinator of ‘International Institute of Fashion Technology’ said, “In the recent years, whenever the wedding season arrives, around 12 would-be brides consult us regarding costumes and accessories needed to wear when they tie the lifelong knot with their prince charming. They also learn wearing sarees.”

“Sometimes friends and family members also approach us asking what their soon-to-be bride girl must wear,” added Anamika.Read more
