Gaga inspires new Mugler bags

When creative director Nicola Formichetti’s first line of handbags for Thierry Mugler hits the racks in the coming weeks, it will undoubtedly draw a beeline of curious customers looking to spot the resemblance of the bags to Lady Gaga’s shapely bottom, which is the designer’s said inspiration.

Formichetti has also been the pop phenomenon’s stylist since 2009.

Provocative as the inspiration may be, the actual collection veers between lady-like elegance and 3D futurism. Short handles on sensible leather totes contrast sharply with the pointy-edged, metallic animal skin evening clutches. Read more
