Kent State gearing up for spring fashion shows: Style News

Kent State University’s Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman School of Fashion Design and Merchandising, celebrating its 30th birthday this year, is gearing up for its annual spring shows celebrating students’ work.

The two shows, dubbed “FS2,” are 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the E. Turner Stump Theatre, 1325 Theatre Drive, Music and Speech Building. Matinee tickets are $40; tickets for the 6 p.m. show and awards ceremony are $65. Tickets can be obtained after March 16 calling 330-672-2787, at tix.com, or by visiting the box office.

Each year, fashion design students create their final collections. After being critiqued by industry professionals, the best collections are chosen and featured in the annual spring show produced by the school’s fashion management and production teams. Read more
