Fifth-grade fashion designer
Cecilia Cassini of Encino is a fashionista with a famous designer’s name, the style and attitude to go with haute couture — and she’s all of 10 years old and in the fifth grade.
She also has a big mane of beautiful hair and the cuteness that could make any young girl aspire to the life of a model. Instead she wants to design and sew their clothes.
“I have known that I wanted to be a fashion designer from the second I was born,” said Cecilia, who today will have her own trunk show at a Sherman Oaks boutique and display more than 200 one-of-a-kind items that she has personally designed and sewn — all with the environment in mind. Read more
