High fashion trends for 2010
It’s now even easier for shoppers to get hold of something unique, as young designers have another platform to showcase their talent. The new, extended section on the Harrods website, called Harrods Launches, will be showing Britain’s most exceptional up-and-coming designers. It’s a change in direction for the store and will be a great way for them to support emerging talent, which isn’t always possible on the shop floor.
First to show are avant-garde designers Iris van Herpen and Manjit Deu. Van Herpen’s SS10 Radiation collection focuses on the body’s movement and the radiation waves that surrounds it. She takes inspiration from interiors, architecture and industrial designs and is recognised for integrating unusual materials into her creations. Read more
