Xolo Launches A1000 To Take On Micromax A116

Xolo’s latest offering, the 5″ screen based A1000, is available online at a price of Rs 13,999. Unlike earlier Xolos that ran on Intel’s processors, this one is powered by an ARM based Mediatek MT 6577 CPU (1GHz, dual-core). The screen size and price place it squarely against the Micromax A116 Canvas HD. While the Micromax does have better specifications (a quad core processor and an IPS panel for display), Xolo might stand a chance in the next few days since the A116′s availability is sparse. Micromax introduced the new Bolt category with the launch of its new phone – A35 – which runs Android OS. The Bolt A35 is a full capacitive touchscreen phone, which runs Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread).

It is powered by a 1GHz processor. The phone sports a 10.1 cm (4-inch) display, a 2 megapixel rear camera, and a 0.3 megapixel front camera. The A35 comes with an expandable memory of up to 16 GB.

It comes packed with a 1500 mAh battery. The phone is claimed to provide a talk time of 4.5 hours. It includes Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi. Priced at Rs 4,250, the Bolt A35 will be available across all leading retail outlets in India from February 14, 2013. Read more

Micromax Ninja A89 now available for Rs 6,000

The phone has 4 inch display, 1 GHz dual core processor and Android 4.0 operating system.

The Micromax Ninja A89, the first dual core processor based phone in Ninja sub brand of Micromax, is now available for around Rs 6,000 though it comes with a price tag of Rs 8,999.

The Dual SIM Micromax A89 Ninja comes with a 1 GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6577 processor accompanied by 512 MB of RAM. It sports a 4-inch screen with WVGA display. The smartphone comes with 2 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to up to 32 GB through a micro SD card. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system.Read more

Micromax has launched yet another low-cost smartphone in India. Named Micromax Smarty 4.3 A65, the phone is listed on the Micromax website, however there is no official announcement from Micromax as yet.

The smartphone is available on the e-commerce site Flipkart.com for Rs 4,999. The phone has a 4.3-inch TFT capacitive display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels, and a 2 megapixel rear camera. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A5 processor, and has 512MB RAM.

This dual SIM phone runs Android 2.3 OS. It comes packed with a 1350 mAh battery. The Smarty 4.3 A65 has an internal memory of 190MB, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. Read more

Micromax to launch 5-inch Android phone A100 soon

Micromax is soon going to launch its 5-inch dual SIM Android smartphone – Micromax A 100. The phone will feature a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 480×854 pixels. The phone will run Android 4.0 ICS OS. The phone will sport a 5 megapixel camera with flash.

The phone is listed on HomeShop18.com for Rs 9999, but is not available for purchase. According to HomeShop18.com, the phone will have an internal memory of 4 GB internal memory, which will be expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. It will come packed with a 2000 mAh battery. However, processor and RAM details are still not known.

Measuring 142.2 x 72.6 x 11.9 mm, the phone weighs 168 grams. Other features include 3G, Bluetooth, radio and WiFi. Micromax has an event lined up for Friday. It is likely that the company may officially unveil the device on that day.Read more
