We know them as innovators or early adopters, people who are the first to use a new product. These people are also usually tech junkies, meaning that they are addicted to technology or always connected.
Tech junkies probably own the latest and top-of-the-range smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S III, HTC One X and Apple iPhone 4S. In fact, since they need to have the latest gadgets before everyone else, they would probably stand in line or wait online once the next big thing is released.

Prepaid phone plans, where you pay the full price for a cellphone and then pay lower monthly rates without a contract, seem to offer what most budget-conscious people want. So why haven’t they really caught on?
Contract-free phone plans account for only 23 percent of the wireless customers in the United States phone market, according to the research firm Ovum. The rest are subscribers locked into contracts and paying higher monthly fees.
That’s despite the fact that prepaid phone plans are generally a better deal for most people, who can save hundreds of dollars over the course of two years compared to a contract plan.Read more

The next generation PlayStation certified Xperia Neo L has been made available for pre booking with an expected delivery date of August 7.
Sony had announced the Xperia Neo L Android smartphone earlier this year and it was showcased in India just a couple of days back, but although the company has not announced a launch date for the Xperia Neo L, the device is available for preorder from Infibeam. Interested buyers can prebook the Sony Xperia Neo L by paying an upfront price of Rs 18,599. The expected delivery date of the device has been mentioned as August 7.

Micromax mobiles India continues to expand there range of Superfone series. The latest addition to the series in includes A52. Each time we have an update to the Superfone series a phone superior to the others is added and that too at a lower price.

LG has formally announced the Optimus L5 with 800 Mhz Qualcomm processor and 4-inch touchscreen display.
LG has formally announced its new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich based handset – Optimus L5. Extending the L-Series smartphones, the new Optimus L5 appears to be a great mid-range device with 4-inch touchscreen display and houses a Qualcomm mobile processor inside it. LG did not announce the price of this smartphone but we expect it to be around Rs 13,000 to Rs 16,000.
LG introduced its new Optimus family smartphones carrying L-Series styling with much fanfare earlier this year. The new Optimus L5 is the mid range device that is slotted between entry-level L3 and high-end L7 smartphones.Read more

MTS is well on its way to carving a space for itself in the Indian smartphone market. It has recently released its fourth Android handset MTag 401, aimed at tech savvy youth with a price tag of Rs. 8,999/- and a host of features.
The MTag 401 is powered by an 800 MHz Qualcomm processor and runs on the Gingerbread OS. A 1700 mAh battery supports a RAM of 256MB, an internal memory of 170MB and a ROM of 512MB. A microSD card slot allows users to expand the phones memory to suit their needs. The phone features a 4-inch display with a WVGA resolution of 800×480 pixels. It also sports a 3-megapixel camera. Competition in the budget smartphone segment continues to heat up, as Idea Cellular launches its dual-SIM Android touch phone – ID 918. The device is already available at online retailers such as Flipkart with a price tag of Rs. 5,994.
