Nokia has launched the Asha 308 dual-SIM touch phone in India and is available from its online store at Rs. 5,685. The Asha 308 is the latest addition to Nokia’s Asha Touch family of mobile devices.
Nokia had unveiled the Asha 308 last month along with a single-SIM variant called the Asha 309. The Nokia Asha 308 features a 3-inch capacitive display, a 2MP camera and microSD card slot. The phone runs on Nokia’s S40 full-touch interface. For connectivity, the device supports Bluetooth and EDGE/GPRS.
With the Asha 308, Nokia introduces two extensions to its cloud-based Xpress Browser platform. The new Nokia Nearby Web app shows search results on a map, to help discover new local places. The second, Nokia Life+, is available across 18 countries and provides access to education, health, and infotainment content.Read more

The handset ships with two cameras, a primary rear facing 5-megapixel one and a secondary front facing 0.3-megapixel one. Memory on the smartphone can be expanded by up to 32 GB with a microSD card. Competition in the budget smartphone segment continues to heat up, as Idea Cellular launches its dual-SIM Android touch phone – ID 918. The device is already available at online retailers such as Flipkart with a price tag of Rs. 5,994.
Speaking of specifications, the Idea ID 918 runs on Android 2.3 operating system. It comes with a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 3.2 MP primary camera and a 1,300 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 4 hours of talktime and 200 hours of standby time.
