After I wrote about the four actresses who have influenced my life over the last fifty years, one of my Facebook friend and reader pointed out something I had not noticed.
He said, “Rajan, without even knowing it, you were promoting national integration.”
I said, “How?”
He said, “Look at your crush list.”
And that is when it hit me….he was right.
Khushbu was born Nakhat Khan, a Muslim.
Simran was born Rishibala Naval, a Sikh.
Trisha was Trisha Krishnan, a Hindu.
Nayanthara was born Diana Mariam Kurian, a Christian.
Four actresses…from four different religions. What were the chances of this useless but secular lady-lover selecting such heroines?
Once Sundeep shared the news with me, I sat there quietly for a few seconds because this was a big moment in my life.
